The country ranks second in the world as far as natural reserves are concerned and they number 17. The climate is moderate continental with four yearly seasons and average annual temperature of 10.5 C.

EXQUISITE SAVOUR

Bulgarian cuisine is diverse and delicious. Local food often incorporates salads as appetizers and is also noted for the prominence of dairy products, wines and other alcoholic drinks such as rakia. The country is notable as the historical namesake for Lactobacillus bulgaricus, a microorganism chiefly responsible for the local variety of the dairy product –Bulgarian yogurt.
